The face of the steroids scandal -- fair or not -- belonged to Barry Bonds, who passed Hank Aaron's career home-run record at the same time he was being investigated by a federal grand jury for allegedly using steroids. That awkward scene, which Aaron refused to even watch, provided the backdrop for the richest and saddest story of the decade.
